When and what time
Saturday 12th November from 5 - 10pm
There will be a few speeches at 6.30 - 7pm
Please feel free to come for as long or little as you would like. It may be that you might want to come for a bit and then go and get some food (there are lots of restaurants in Poole) and then come back again!
There is a cocktail bar VIPER a few doors down and DELFINO LOUNGE is a few minutes away serving food and drinks. GINALI’s is a lovely Italian restaurant and there are lots more towards POOLE QUAY.
Road Directions
Pen Gallery, near the Dolphin Centre Poole can be reached from the A35 by following signs to Poole town centre. Signs direct motorists to the Dolphin Shopping Centre multi storey car park at The George roundabout. Those using Sat Nav should use the postcode BH15 1SZ. There is also parking at Lifeboat Quay by the Asda Poole Superstore W Quay Rd, Poole BH15 1JQ.
Accommodation
As I have to prioritise family to stay on this day/evening I can’t confirm I will definitely have space to stay.
The exhibition is taking place in Poole which is a short drive/train from Bournemouth.
POOLE
If you would like to stay close to the Gallery and head off back home again in the morning the the best option is:
At the moment the price for 2 people for 12th November is about £67.99
There is parking outside and it is literally over the road from Poole Station.
BOURNEMOUTH
If you fancy a visit to the beach the next day and to catch up over some lunch, I’d say it may be better to stay in Bournemouth. There may be the potential to have a few drinks in Bournemouth after the exhibition event has finished, but it will be a case of let’s see how exhausted everyone is. The trains run twice an hour until midnight and they take about 10 minutes. Taxis run from outside Bournemouth Station.
In Bournemouth
There are some PREMIER INNS
The ROYAL BATH HOTEL is a great location to the BEACH AND TOWN, I have stayed there before - but I have heard it is a bit of pot luck which room you get.
There are loads of hotels around the town centre and Bournemouth Pier under £100 for 2 people for one night.
The HERMITAGE HOTEL is around £73
Obviously there are other options including Airbnbs etc…
If you would like some advise please just ask!
I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see you all - let me know if you have any questions!
